MEDITATION, LOVING-KINDNESS & NATURE
Sunday, July 30th 9:30 am-12:30 pm
Join Kat for an outdoor workshop that explores meditation and the practice of loving-kindness (or, Metta)in nature. In the beauty of a quiet grove in Lincoln Park, West Seattle, you’ll learn mindfulness practices of body, mind and energy, and gain access to your truest nature, one of “Natural Great Peace,” as the Buddhists say. Included is a full introduction to the practice of metta, or Loving-Kindness. Through opening the body with simple stretches, breathing and energy practices, we will then shift into meditation practice. Quieting ourselves in stillness and silence, we will watch how our our bodies and energies naturally begin to align with the flow of “maha-prana,” or Universal energy, which we can cultivate through our one-focused attention. Metta practice will help us open our hearts in love and gratitude, and release accumulated negative conditioning, whereby we begin to truly change. These practices, when brought into daily life, allow for deep psychic and even physical shifts to occur, and bring core transformational healing.
